The Country Trust is delighted to present this unique experience for you and your 5 guests to enjoy a private tour of the world-renowned Fairfax Saddles Workshop in Walsall, in the West Midlands.
Chosen and trusted by some of the best riders in the world, Fairfax Saddles is recognised for its scientific design, development and testing. Experienced saddlers make handcrafted saddles, girths and bridles by blending traditional techniques with cutting-edge technology that are proven to relieve pressure and improve the horse’s performance.
Fairfax Saddles innovative designs are proven by science and protected by patents, their ground-breaking research is regularly published in reputable scientific journals and presented at veterinary conferences worldwide.
The origins of Walsall's leather industry date back to the Middle Ages. Although there are only a few references to leatherworkers, there are many to saddlers. Many of the town's leather-goods trade pioneers were bridle cutters. By settling in Walsall, they could call upon the skills of local loriners for their bits and buckles. In the early 19th century leatherworking became an important local trade.
The private tour for up to x6 guests includes Champagne and a £500 Premium Bridle Voucher which can be redeemed for a snaffle bridle (black or brown) with diamante or pearl browband or a bridle double (black) with a plain browband.
Terms & Conditions:
- Date for the tour for x6 guests to be mutually agreed with Fairfax Saddles and the final bidder
and to be redeemed by 31 October 2025 with a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice
- Weekdays and during office hours only
- Please note certain areas of the workshop are not wheelchair accessible
- Transport & accommodation are not included
- £500 Performance Voucher cannot be part exchanged against the purchase of a higher-value product – expiry date 31 October 2025
- Workshop Tour and Vouchers are not to be resold or re-auctioned

At YOUR liability, we offer a fully tracked postage & packing service within mainland UK and across the globe for most items. We use APC Couriers and everything is sent 24 hour tracked and signed for. Our standard mainland UK charge is £20 for up to 3 lots, and £2.00 per lot thereafter, regardless of weight (max.30kg). Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland & the islands - £25 for up to 3 lots then £2.00 per lot thereafter Some exclusions apply for larger lots such as dinner services, please contact our offices for a quote with regards to larger or bulkier lots. Jewellery, watches, coins and high value small items will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery with maximum insurance of £2500.
Please note that this service is NOT insured, therefore if purchasers require further cover, then they must arrange this themselves. Alternatively we can send by Parcelforce 48 with insurance charged at £4 upto £500 cover, £8-£1000 cover, £12-£1500 and £20-£2500 cover. Lacy Scott & Knight accept no liability for items which are damaged or lost during postage, and cannot and will not assist in any claims unless insurance cover has been taken out. If you instruct your own courier packing is charged at £8 per parcel. Please give clear instructions when settling your account as to your shipping requirements so that we can process full payment and ship within 10 working days.
You can simply add your postage costs to your invoice amount by bank transfer or when paying online
