Sold for £12,200
A 1929 Austin 7 Chummy
Registration No.WO 2621
Chassis No.78700
Engine No. M792204
In red and black, odometer 0648 miles
The Austin 7 was going from strength to strength with improvements made to the Chummy in 1926, resulting in a more spacious car. Later the same year the brakes were enlarged to 7" for greater stopping power. During these years the 7 sold extremely well, helping Britain get mobile more than any other car had up to this point. This 1929 car has been restored in full at the turn of the millennium, and with further lesser works carried out since. The 747 engine and three-speed gearbox are in good order. The car comes complete with V5, numerous receipts and history notes etc.
