Elton Hall is a Baronial Hall in Elton, Cambridgeshire, which has been the ancestral home of the Proby family since1660 and houses portraits and artworks by old masters, including Reynolds, Gainsborough and Romney.
The Country Trust is delighted to present this unique opportunity for x8 guests, guided by Alexandra Proby. The Hall lies in a 3,800-acre estate through which the River Nene runs.
Elton Hall is an enchanting, extraordinary, romantic, part-Gothic historic house nestled in beautiful countryside, lying x8 miles southwest of Peterborough, standing proud in unspoilt landscaped parkland, which comprises part of the land held at Elton by the Proby family, since the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.
The award-winning Gardens have been completely and expertly restored with new borders, hedges, topiary, an Orangery, Shell Seat, Fountain and many interesting plants.
Alexandra Proby is kindly offering to take you and your x 7 guests on a personal tour of the House, Gardens and the private Chapel used by her family for christenings and special events.
Throughout this Alexandra can give you a unique and unparalleled insight into the complicated, yet fascinating, evolution of Elton Hall, which has played an important role in England’s history,
A light Afternoon Tea will be provided in The Billiard Room for you and your guests to enjoy.
Terms & Conditions:
- Date for the Tour for up to x6 guests to be mutually agreed with Elton Hall & the final bidder, via the Country Trust, with x6 weeks’ prior notice.
- Subject to availability
- Experience to be redeemed by 1 October 2025
- Food allergies and intolerances to be notified in advance
- Experience not to be re-sold or re-auctioned

At YOUR liability, we offer a fully tracked postage & packing service within mainland UK and across the globe for most items. We use APC Couriers and everything is sent 24 hour tracked and signed for. Our standard mainland UK charge is £20 for up to 3 lots, and £2.00 per lot thereafter, regardless of weight (max.30kg). Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland & the islands - £25 for up to 3 lots then £2.00 per lot thereafter Some exclusions apply for larger lots such as dinner services, please contact our offices for a quote with regards to larger or bulkier lots. Jewellery, watches, coins and high value small items will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery with maximum insurance of £2500.
Please note that this service is NOT insured, therefore if purchasers require further cover, then they must arrange this themselves. Alternatively we can send by Parcelforce 48 with insurance charged at £4 upto £500 cover, £8-£1000 cover, £12-£1500 and £20-£2500 cover. Lacy Scott & Knight accept no liability for items which are damaged or lost during postage, and cannot and will not assist in any claims unless insurance cover has been taken out. If you instruct your own courier packing is charged at £8 per parcel. Please give clear instructions when settling your account as to your shipping requirements so that we can process full payment and ship within 10 working days.
You can simply add your postage costs to your invoice amount by bank transfer or when paying online
