PhD (Cantab), MA (SOAS)
Head of Asian Art
Jun came to the UK in 2006 and earned a science PhD degree from the University of Cambridge, where he developed a deep appreciation for Asian art through a variety of exhibitions, lectures, and cultural events. His passion for Asian art, particularly Chinese porcelain, has driven him to spend his leisure time collecting and researching artworks. As an avid Chinese art collector, Jun has participated in the Chinese version of “Antiques Roadshow” and contributed as an overseas editor for Asian Art Pacific magazine. He is also an active member of the Oriental Ceramic Society and regularly participates in its events and activities. In 2023, Jun furthered his expertise by obtaining an MA in the History of Art and Archaeology of East Asia from SOAS, University of London.
Jun possesses a profound knowledge of Asian artworks, specialising in identification and valuation, thanks to over a decade of hands-on experience participating in more than 500 auctions across the UK and China. His practical auction insights, combined with his strong academic background in science and art, fuel his dedication to the dynamic auction industry and his evolving career. At LSK, Jun is responsible for sourcing Asian artworks and organising two specialised sales annually.
Outside the art world, Jun enjoys travelling to discover and appreciate other beautiful things around the world. An adventurous spirit, he has trekked the Inca Trail in Peru (March 2024) and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania (September 2024) prior to joining LSK.
