This local family business is closing its doors after almost 40 years as a well-loved and respected saddle-fitters and equestrian ware suppliers. In recent years, they have been based in Troston, but many will remember when their shop operated out of St Johns Street in Bury St Edmunds. In fact, we also held an auction of their surplus wares a few years ago when they moved out of the town.
Sadly, Bridlepath International is now closing for good. Master saddler and harness maker, Laura Bourne, has stated what a huge and sad decision it has been to close the business, and many of her clients are bound to miss the excellent professional and personal service which the company have provided over the years.
The sale will include over 300 (mostly new) saddles, bridle girths, bits, leathers, reins, irons, numnahs, and miscellaneous equestrian equipment. Well-known brands and makers to include Harry Dabbs, Jaguar, Ideal, Albion, Barnesby, Stübben, Passier, Prestige and more. The majority to be sold without reserve.
The lots will not arrive at the Auction Centre until the Wednesday before the sale, therefore viewing is strictly Thursday 5th July 10am-6pm and morning of sale from 8.30am (the auction begins at 9.30am).
